fuel line ? size and material suggestions? ls7
Horsepower?
three/viii line is suitable for most applications. The dual pump CTSV module rated for 900+hp has a three/eight outlet on it. If you're over 700hp and supercharged then it wouldn't hurt to step up to i/2 or #8AN.
Aluminum, stainless, or cunifer line will be suitable if you lot plan on a difficult line rather than AN hose the whole way.
Don't forget the fuel regulator likewise.-Dale

Don't forget the render line. Brand it large too. Are yous running EFI? How about electronic fuel pump controller? Recollect that the return line is working hardest at idle when engine fuel requirements are very low.

A 3/viii" (AN-6) line tin can support 1200HP at loftier pressure level. If I was plumbing that line, that is what I would use.

Aren't the output lines from the vette regulator 3/eight"? What use is going to one/2" if the smallest signal is even so 3/8"?
- Use 3/8 fuel line, information technology volition support well over a 1000HP...

Running a 3/8 line simply wont requite the right amount of volume. three/viii line is equivalent to -6 line and that'due south non going to feed a 1000hp motor. At least not without starving it of fuel.
- Dale, yous apply aluminum fuel line in street cars? I was never comfy with that. I always figured OE used steel with steel rock guard for a reason.

98% of the time we use stainless. But yes aluminum works as well.

I've used aluminum several times in the past, though I've switched to Cunifer for my most recent project.
- Yes, the inlet and feed to the engine are three/8, 5/16 return. I do not believe that cunifer/Nicopp is bachelor in anything larger than iii/8

thanks for the responses. the motor should have 650 horsepower at the crank <na> i was thinking virtually 1/ii or #8an line from the pump to motor in flex line with a lot of clamps. should i use the vent system in the camaro or buy or build a vent arrangement for the tank?

Distressing for digging up and old thread but figured it was better than recreating the wheel :-) Curious what folks retrieve well-nigh the Dorman line?
Also what about braided line have they sorted out the fuel pocket-size issues nevertheless? In a nutshell I am going to exist creating line in my garage on the flooring and don't have much room to fit a 1 slice solid line... So I was looking for options..
- You need to use PTFE hose with a black (carbon-infused) liner. XRP, Goodridge, Brown and Miller, etc. All ordinary rubber or synthetic rubber "braided" hose will have permeation bug with associated smell and curt service life.
